Nissan Has Built A Stunning 711bhp GT
Nissan's most powerful car the Skyline GT-R. Humble origins are almost the norm in case of sports cars and the car which first wore the ‘GT-R' badge was no different. I've been fortunate enough to drive some great cars in great locations and I've never experienced such universally positive reactions as greeted the R34 when we turned up in Margate.
Now consider that the 240SX is virtually identical, mechanically, to the JDM Nissan Silvia, so many of the excellent Japanese-market engines readily bolt in. For wilder engine swap options, the 240SX has a stout rear end capable of handling the power of a variety of Nissan engines.
These engines drive the oil pump off the front of the crank and this is common issue that affects both early and late crankshaft design cars (before and after August 1991). They wore the Nismo aero modes, but the standard cars cross-drilled rotors were replaced by solid units.
When developing the R34, Nissan's engineers took on board criticisms that the interior was a little undramatic for a car costing over £50,000 and fitted one of the most diverting features ever to grace a car's dashboard. Owner Vinny has fitted the 17-inch BBS wheels from a V-Spec model to this particular car, and a recent glass-out respray means that the silver bodywork is absolutely perfect.
Founded on saloon car racing dominance, almost implausible lap times of the N??rburgring and an underground following that translated into unquenchable public demand here in the UK, the Skyline has created its own legends. What made it the most modern among other sports cars was a 5.8-inch screen sitting right in the middle of the dashboard, displaying seven parameters, including performance and cornering forces.
Along with all of this performance-geared gadgetry, the 2012 GTR from Midway Nissan features an oil-cooling system controlled by a thermostat, an oil scavenger pump to maintain oil flowing to the turbochargers and a lateral wet and dry sump oiling system.
The Nissan Nissan Skyline GT-R GT-R interiors can be availed in four shades: Red, Tan, Ivory and Black. The handcrafted Nissan GT-R supercar is priced at Rs 2.12 crore (ex-showroom Noida). For the GT-R diehards, the R34 GT-R Z-Tune represents the ultimate model of the greatest generation of the GT-R.
